Kobe Bryant's Knew Surgery

Kobe Bryant just had a successful surgery on his right knee last week. He was having problems with his knee but thankfully that didn't stop him from helping the L.A Lakers in winning the 2010 NBA Championship. He will recover and be ready to start training again with the Lakers on September 25 for the new season. Hopefully his knee stays okay and doesn't become a problem this upcoming season. =)

Shannon Brown (#12)

Shannon Brown is a powerful point guard for the L.A, Lakers.  Brown is expected to return to the Lakers but it is still not a set deal.  He became a free agent but said he would like to remain with the Lakers.  He is hoping to sign a multiple year contract. With the rejection of Raja Bell, Shannon seems to be the best option the Lakers have. He will most likely resign with L.A and finish completing the Lakers roster for the upcoming season but it's still not a certain deal.  I really hope he signs back up with the Lakers!!!

Lakers Rejected by Raja Bell

The guard player Raja Bell rejected a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.  He was offered a deal but refused. He was suppose to meet with the Laker Kobe Bryant who was suppose to persuade him to join the team but Bell decided to join the Utah Jazz instead.  The Lakers offered Bell close to $2 million per year while the Jazz offered him a three-year  $10 million deal.  Bell says he rejected the Lakers and joined the Jazz because with his familiarity with the Utah coach.  Now the Lakers will have to look for other available guards.

Derek Fisher Back on the Team

After having a meeting with LeBron James and the Miami Heat and being offered to join the team, Fisher decided to stay with the Lakers. Fisher was loyal to his team and his long friend Kobe Bryant and came back to L.A. to stay.  He said that his stay with the Lakers has to do more with how he works with the team and the chemistry between them than the money.  Fisher's contract with the Lakers is not that good but he still decided to stay and look for his sixth championship with the Lakers.
